A VBU Field Day is set for Nyamahumba in Ward 6 which is set to take centre stage on June 24, 2026, as farmers, government officials, development partners and community leaders gather in Nyanga North to demonstrate practical ways of transforming rural livelihoods from subsistence farming into commercial and industrialised enterprises.
The event, which will be held in Nyamahumba Ward 6 under the theme “Shifting Rural Communities from Subsistence Farming to Commercial, Industrialised Enterprises,” is expected to attract stakeholders from across Manicaland Province and beyond.
The programme seeks to showcase successful agricultural initiatives while encouraging communities to embrace value addition, commercialisation and modern farming practices.

Proceedings will begin at 9:30 am with the arrival of guests and the singing of the National Anthem. An opening prayer and traditional hand-clapping ceremony will follow, led by local religious and traditional leaders, underscoring the importance of unity and community participation in development initiatives.
